Sample Manager Stuck on “Starting Up… Checking Database”

Issue: Sample Manager hangs on startup with a message about checking the database.


 

Cause: Corrupted or malformed database file.


 

Fix:

  1. Close Sample Manager completely.
  2. Navigate to your system folder:
  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/ADSR
  • Windows: %AppData%\ADSR
  1. Delete or move the .db3 database file to a backup location.
  2. Restart Sample Manager. It will generate a fresh database.


 

Note: You will lose tags and collections, but the sample folders will remain.
